What is the average mpg for the 1975 VW bus?

Based on my experience and that many owners tell me (generally should be much more), this is what I found: in the city, a range of 10-14 mpg, Highway 15-20, with many owners moving 18-19 on the road. My vehicle of 1976, normal shift, motor parts (ventureland?) The fuel is injected type 19 on the highway (65 mph at times could not get that speed with a strong wind!) with the road around hills of San Francisco gets about 12 miles per gallon. Hopefully your car is not automatic, they are still slower and gets 1.3 miles per gallon less than the change from normal patterns.
